El Shafee Elsheikh, 33, (inset) was convicted in Virginia on Thursday of killing four American hostages. Elsheikh was one of the three members of a group called the 'Beatles,' which consisted of three British ISIS members who went by George, John, and Ringo. Elsheikh was reported Ringo and the group took several hostages to demand imprisoned ISIS militants or large ransoms. The group filmed the deaths of the hostages for propaganda films. Elsheikh was reportedly an 'important' and high-up member of ISIS. Like other high-powered terrorist members, Elsheikh could end up in Colorado's notorious Supermax Florence ADX. Other high-profile criminals, such as  El Chapo, Boston bomber Dzhokar Tsarnaev are also housed inside the facility. The prison is known for its harsh conditions, including keeping inmates locked up for 23 hours a day and having no communication with prisoners. The 'escape proof' supermax prison sits on 37 acres of land, deep in the foothills of Rocky Mountains. It compromises of 490 seven-by-twelve foot cells with all inmates living in soundproof isolation. Each cell contains a bunk, desk, stool, shelf, a steel sink, and toilet. In addition to the bare minimum, each inmate gets a three-foot window that's only four inches wide.

A former Clinton pollster is calling Joe Biden's re-election 'virtually impossible' as the president faces a low approval rating of 33 percent that is even lower among independents (26) and Republicans (3). 'These are spectacularly low numbers,' said Mark Penn, the founder of PSB Insights and a former Hillary Clinton campaign pollster. 'To really get down to it, only a third being favorable and in the 20s on independents, of course makes [Biden's] reelection a virtual impossibility. 'The administration has got to pivot or this is going to be a tornado of a midterms if these numbers continue to hold up,' Penn said Thursday during an appearance on Fox News. Biden has faced multiple crises during his first year in office, from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic to inflation and surging gas prices, which the Biden administration has blamed on 'Putin's Price Hike' after the US sanctioned Russian oligarchs and companies in response to the invasion on Ukraine. Penn says the president has had more than enough time to build goodwill with the American people. 'The administration has got to pivot or this is going to be a tornado of a midterms if these numbers continue to hold up. And frankly, they've had month after month here to do something to turn around on inflation, on immigration, on Ukraine, on crime. And they just haven't done it.' Penn, who has become a staunch supporter of former president Donald Trump in recent years, said the administration has to 'signal big changes' in energy and 'OK some pipelines.' He added: 'On immigration, they've got to close the border and signal they really want comprehensive immigration reform. Bring that back. Be a leader in that. 'On crime, they need to show that, look, if local DAs won't do the job, the feds will step in.

More than 100 students and staff who either attended or worked at a school in Woodbridge New Jersey all had rare brain tumors - glioblastoma multiforme - an aggressive cancer. According to the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, glioblastoma is normally extremely rare with an incidence of 3.21 per 100,000. The link was uncovered by a former resident of student of Colonia High School in Woodbridge Township after Al Lupiano, 50, left with wife Michele, was diagnosed with the rare form of cancer in 2002. His wife was diagnosed within the last year and his sister, seen right, died last month from the disease. Lupiano put out a plea for more people to come forward resulting in 102 cases. The vast majority of those who have developed brain tumors 'graduated between 1975 and 2000. Lupiano believes some form of ionizing radiation may be in the soil at the grounds of the school where it was built in the 1960s to be the cause.

In the 30 hours between the attack and his arrest, however, James was seen - and photographed - strolling around Manhattan, seemingly without a care in the world, as thousands of cops scoured the city in a frantic effort to track him down. Immediately after fleeing the scene at the 36th Street subway station, James - who donned a orange construction worker-style vest, hardhat, and gasmask during the attack - ditched his gear, and reportedly boarded a southbound R train for one stop, exiting at 25th Street. James, a career criminal who lives in Philadelphia, managed to lay low for the rest of the day, somehow evading thousands of cops mobilized after the attack, which saw the suspect fire off 33 shots at the trapped straphangers, injuring 10. That night, law enforcement sources revealed, James crossed the bridge into Manhattan, where he stayed at the Chelsea International Hostel on West 20th St overnight. The next morning, at roughly 10:30 am, the suspect was spotted - and photographed - dining outdoors at trendy Chinatown eatery Dimes on Canal St., by  Twitter user Jack Griffin, who shared two photos of the suspect to social media. One of the photos posted by Griffin, at 10:29 am, showed a heavyset man matching James' description walking down Canal Street still dressed in black, while another showed him sitting at Dimes' outdoor dining area 'just staring into space,' Griffin told The News.

'Twitter has become kind of the de facto town square, so it's really important that people have both the reality and perception that they are able to speak freely, in the bounds of the law.'

Anthony Todt, 46, was found guilty on Thursday of killing his three kids and his wife in 2020 at their Florida home as autopsy results showed the victims overdosed on Benadryl and were fatally stabbed. Prosecutors weren't seeking the death penalty, which means Todt will receive a mandatory life sentence. Judge Keith A. Carsten called Todt 'a destroyer of worlds', while the father-of-three was seen constantly shaking his head as he was in dismay from learning his verdict.

It is absolutely irresponsible for the family's attorney (who was not present and has not seen the evidence in this case) to allege that the events of that evening were "unprovoked" or to insinuate that she is being afforded special treatment,' Prieto told The Sun. Obumseli, 27, was reportedly seen sleeping in common areas of the building after he and Clenney broke up last month. Meanwhile, a friend of the couple said she only ever saw 'her hit him' - not the other way around, as Obumseli's family demand that Clenney be charged with his murder. The couple had recently moved from Austin to Miami. Clenney's lawyer says there's enough proof that she acted in self defense, as a victim of 'domestic violence and trafficking,' when she fatally stabbed Obumseli earlier this month. 'Since the events of that tragic night, Courtney has been filled with absolute grief and despair,' Prieto said in a statement to The Sun.

A gun safety instructor who told black members of a Las Vegas class to 'lick the chicken grease off [their] fingers before shooting' denied that he was racist, saying that he was trying to 'shock their system' to remember 'an important safety rule.' At the annual VegasCCW event at Clark County Library on April 10, instructor Nephi 'Khaliki' Oliva (who also spells his name 'Nafi') showed a slide featuring a caricature of a black man wearing sagging pants wielding a side-cocked gun, and another slide showing an illustrated beer-bellied white man holding a beer in one hand and a rifle in the other. They were labeled 'Firearm Safety for Black People' and 'Firearm Safety for White People,' respectively. Oliva read bullet points pictured alongside the black caricature to the audience: 'ALWAYS shoot the gun right side up' and to 'ALWAYS lick the chicken grease off your fingers.' Crews are trying to keep the USS The Sullivans from sinking into Lake Erie. The vessel suffered a breach on the right side of the hull, causing it to go under. Industrial sump pumps brought to the Buffalo, New York waterfront are being used to remove 13,000 gallons of water out of the ship each minute. The Erie County Naval & Military Park president claims officials are pumping the water out exceeds the amount at which it is coming into the destroyer. The park official said there is 'no chance that the ship actually going to sink'.

Newly released body cam footage from San Diego police shows the harrowing standoff between officers and half-naked home-invader Demetrius Trussell, 40, after he broke into a woman's home and held a gun to her head. Trussell, who was out on a parole on the night of the incident, had terrorized up to six homes in the 24-hours leading up to the final altercation, which he called a 'Mexican standoff' as he threatened to shoot his 50-year-old female hostage in the kneecap

A group of people, who have not been identified, had found the beached dolphin at Quintana Beach County Park on Sunday evening, and tried to push it back into the water to ride it, the agency told the Houston Chronicle. The dolphin eventually became stranded on the shore again, and died before rescuers could arrive. Pictures of the incident, obtained by the Chronicle, show the beached dolphin while a group of beachgoers can be seen playing with the sick marine animal along the shallow water. Meanwhile, the agency told the news outlet that it had alerted the park manager regarding the stranded dolphin, while asking them to remain with the animal as officials made their way to the scene.
